I would have said binge on fruit, but I suppose Veggies will have to do! :)
It’s Thanksgiving, and I thought I should record my weight loss before I gain a few pounds this afternoon.
I only lost 4 pounds since October 1st, but I’ve made some very significant gains in muscle mass and strength!! So it goes both ways with getting healthier. Just because I don’t lose weight doesn’t necessarily mean I am not getting healthier.
Now I’m able to bench 205 lbs and I’m able to squat 275. I used to not be able to bench more than 150 lbs and I was able to barely squat my former body weight before the semester.
So while I am not losing weight, I can tell I’m losing fat because it came to my attention recently that my cheeks look thinner on my face! So I can tell I’ve lost weight just by smiling now, and that is pretty awesome.
Well, I think I’m going to go gain about 2 or 3 pounds in a few hours. I swear my new tennis shoes (my goal for when I get down to 215 lbs) will never come. lol But I know they will sooner than I think.
For everyone else about to have a happy thanksgiving, don’t let the festivities get you down. Be thankful that you still have the ability to work it all off!
Peace out, and stay on that Journey to Fitness! :)

Recipe from Lisa Lillian (a.k.a. Hungry Girl) http://www.hungry-girl.com/ If you are looking for really great meals that make low calorie eating easier, then this is for you.
This is becoming one of my favorite things for breakfast, especially if I want to give myself a really good start with protein on a workout day. Another really big plus is this recipe is just barely over 120 Calories. You can’t beat that. Combining this with a Soy or Whey protein shake, and you are on your way to the perfect protein filled morning and ready to hit the weights like a boss!
Budget constraints prevent many people from eating right.
“I can’t afford to buy healthy food.”
“Fruits and vegetables are too expensive.”
“Grocery store prices are astronomical.”
“It’s cheaper to eat fast food.”
We hear these “excuses” every day—and they’re good ones. But we don’t give up that easily and believe any excuse can be overcome. Today we’re setting out to prove that healthy eating is possible on any budget.
We compared the cost of unhealthy foods from the drive-thru, freezer section and snack foods aisle to the cost of healthy foods. By making even one of these swaps, you can make room in your grocery budget for a few new healthy foods.Check out http://www.dailyspark.com/blog.asp?post=what_20_will_buy_at_the_drivethru_and_at_the_supermarket
for more! The “I can’t eat healthy food because it’s not in my budget” excuse so does NOT work. So don’t use it. kthanksbye:)
Note to self, when I have lots of kids, fast food is completely out of the questions unless on a very special occasion, which is what eating out should be for anyway. A budget saver, AND a healthier option. I like it!
What my future child’s lunchbox will look like.
Poor fucker will never know what Lunchables are lol^ I totally agree with you. My children are going to be the healthiest children ever. I want them to know what it is without having to learn it later in life. And they better fucking love carrots like me.
Mmmm. Carrots, celery, grapes, string cheese, peanut butter, and I think I see yogurt. I’m sold already.
I’m already hungry. Good thing lunch is an hour away.
exactly!
That’s my thoughts on health as well. Skinny is not always healthy.
